This is our 11 year old tabby, Chania, who now spends most of the day (and night) in our bedroom. It's the only room in the house where our dog Mitzi doesn't go as she doesn't like the open-tread spiral staircase, so Chania knows she won't be chased or growled at up here. That doesn't stop her keeping a weather eye open for canine intruders from time-to-time!
This is for my PLAY project - you can read more about it in my profile - where I'll be using a different prime lens for each month of the year: in January it's the Nikon 50mm f/1.4G on a full-frame camera (the D610 today).
Your work with this lens is so wonderful! I have a 35mm that in my crop sesor camera is a 50mm. My best shots come from it. This is so lovely for comp, use of bw, dof, and focus. Love the blury background, which for me adds to the narrative elements.
We too have 'bedroom cat'. We have no dogs, but do have other cats who seem to intimidate her, so she lives in our bedroom sneaking out only occasionally and then rushing back when she feels threatened.
