PLAY Feb - Fuji 18mm f/2: Quarry Pond

This is just a little disused flooded quarry that I've passed literally hundreds of times in the car... and every time I say to myself - there's a photograph to be taken there! Today I was exploring the forest on foot and ended up near here so, at last, the image was made.

This is for my PLAY project - you can read more about it in my profile - where I'll be using a different prime lens for each month of the year: for February it's the Fujinon 18mm f/2 on an APS-C sensor camera (today the Fuji X-Pro1) - the equivalent of a 28mm lens on a full-frame camera.

This is also for the Flash of Red 2017 challenge.

Whilst the clouds suggest it was windy...and it was, can also see movement on the water from cloud effect. Didn't realise you've become a meteorologist too. ;-)
