PLAY March - Fuji 60mm f/2.4: Swan by vignouse

PLAY March - Fuji 60mm f/2.4: Swan

This is a close-up of a small, beautifully made papier-maché swan that was a gift to Mrs S from my daughter. I've chosen to show just the neck and head here - to give you an idea of its size, the beak is about 5mm long.

Late comment - I've just noticed that this was taken at ISO 6400 - I mention it to encourage those who might be worried about using higher ISOs to experiment a little.

This is for my PLAY project - you can read more about it in my profile - where I'll be using a different prime lens for each month of the year: for March it's the Fujinon 60mm f/2.4 Macro on an APS-C sensor camera (today the Fuji XT2) - the equivalent of a 90mm lens on a full-frame camera.
Very elegant Fav

This was so large in shot...I had to pause and think about it for a moment. Good spot, good shot.

Great project (the swan) - and nicely captured. Like the use of a very petite pearl as eyes

Even paper maché geese are elegant.

Great capture. I did a little bug exiting from a red apple, when I was a child. Or maybe it was a kind of snail from outer space ;)

Thanks for adding the detail about the ISO. I routinely go to 1600. On the evidence of this I should dare to go higher when circumstances demand.

I love the composition. There's an instant humour to the shot.
