Another day, and another attempt at something a bit different. I don't want to take a succession of observational photos, so today's picture answers the question, "what is photography?"
I wanted to photograph the word 'inspiration' - a pun on "looking for inspiration" - after yesterday's post about my struggle looking for it. Thing is, the word was in the bottom corner of the page and its definition continued onto the next column, so it wouldn't have worked. I settled on this word purely because I wanted to attempt this type of shot. In post-processing I added a gradient filter at the top and bottom of the picture and increased the brightness of the centre.
The weather has taken a turn for the worse, considering it's late May. Monday was the last of warm summer days, whereas yesterday and today have been much cooler. Today is a real grey day, which is why I have taken another indoor picture. I hope we see more of the sun before this month is over, as I want to get out more.
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.

This seems a very adeptly photographed page! I also didn't want to forget to suggest you sometimes try a photo to fit the theme for the week. It sparks ideas, and, as a community, it's fun to play along. Also, in your profile, you don't mention where you call home. That's always interesting to the group as a whole as we come from such far-flung places.
