I went outside for inspiration today. I mentioned in yesterday's post that I have been in a bit of a rut for the last few days, so I thought I'd pop out after lunch to somewhere different. My friend Louise directed me to a church that has caught my eye in the past from across the River Trent. However before we visited the church, I came across another bridge and took a few photos of it first.
When processing this shot I upped the clarity and contrast, de-saturated the colours a little and I added a texture in Photoshop to give it this rugged feel.
Louise was the one who suggested this shot. I don't think it's quite what she envisaged, but it still turned out to be my favourite. That includes from the ones I took of the church, which turned out to be a bit of a disappointment. She also slipped on to her arse as we went down a small hill to below the bridge; I hope your bum's not sore Lou!
