The Bar Mitzvah wasn’t till 11:00 so we took the opportunity to hang with cousins Sally and Edward at Merritt’s Grill for breakfast on Day 3. Then we met cousins Deborah and Ben along with Becca, Jon and Iris at the playground. Iris was full of energy and preoccupied with everything. So many new people and things to experience. We played on the swings and slid down the slides. It’s our first vacay with her!
We spent the rest of the day doing Bar Mitzvah things including the service itself, after service lunch at the temple and a fun Saturday night party at an artsy, renovated complex in Durham. Cuddling with Iris at Deborah’s in the afternoon was a highlight though. She’s gotten so big.
