@hermann Well the ship with the half moon on the back is not just any old sailing ship. But a replica of the sailing ship that Henry Hudson captained when he discovered the island of Manhattan. The name of the ship is Halve Maen (which means half moon in classical Dutch) The replica was build in 1989 in Albany, New York were she was used to sail school children around on the Hudson river. She is now temporary back in her native waters. Although the original ship was commissioned by the city of Amsterdam and not the city of Hoorn which is where she is docked now.
