An old pic, but I had to share it at some stage. It is of the Indus river, I took it during my Ladakh trip in October last year. The river is fed by glaciers and the level slowly drops over summer as the glacier and snow melt reduces. The is no other water source in this region, no rain, so the water level never rises until the next melt post winter.
