ONS4 - Motion Blur
Went to city with my son last night for some light painting. Painted some orbs. Had fireworks again last night. Must have been for Ellen's benifit as she was in town last night. The house is probably lit up for her too, or in preperation for Vivid Sydney.
This was a by product while tying to take fireworks shots, when a ferry streaked past. Was not in a good position so fireworks shots aren't great. Will share them, and the orbs, in the next few days anyway.
In other news, the tripod holding the camera, tipped over and fell on the concrete. The lens bore the brunt, with the filter shattering and the lens a little damaged too. Tested it today on manual. Seems to work ok. Need to test auto too.

I'm sure equipment damage is every photog's nightmare. Have not had a chance to test my lens yet but was able to break away the cranked filter. The ring won't come off :(

have you tried putting a rubber band around it - I read somewhere once that it can help - good luck
