My partner challenged me to take a high key photo....
I tried using a flash... which I do not know how to use.
My background was not smooth and there are too many shadows to be a high key.
hence there was a lot of post-processing.... yet...I will need to try again
@lynbonn hi partner.... I ran out of time and I didn't figure out how to properly use a flash.... I guess I could have tried it in natural lighting, but this week was nuts. Thank you for the challenge, it has given me a starting point.
this is enough high key to me. but if you want it more high key without overexposing it, set for a longer exposure, start with half a second. then gradually increase the exposure in small increment, until you're happy with the shot. don't use flash, unless your subject is against a very bright light source. also try shooting this by the window during day time; natural bright light will help you achieve the high key you want. imho and experience. 😊
Lovely capture, nice depth of field, I think this works for the challenge. You want to have little to no dark shadows. You accomplished that. I have found I need to use multiple lights, including a flash.
I have a much harder time with high key than I do with low key. I recently practiced high key and it took me several days and several set ups to get one I was happy with.
