I just can't seem stay away from this place. It's only a mile or two from my home and it is just so stinkin' pretty and idyllic. I want to show the seasons here and I set out to capture spring today. It would have only been more perfect had the trees been flowering.
An interesting side note is that a new lady joined photo club this month and works here. She said that she worked at a horse farm and I asked her if it was this one and ironically it was. "Oh cool, I stalk that place." I told her. "If you see a red van parked out front, it's me!" Maybe I can go visit her there sometime for photos from another pov and get close to the horses.
Yes...sooo lovely! Will enjoy seeing the season changes. How cool that you met someone who works there! Road/path scenes are one of my favorites! Especially empty ones. Love this....FAV
I totally see why you can't stay away from this place....its beautiful that's for sure. I see a lot of photo opportunities there. Love your composition and perspective. The road seems to be endless and I like how it's not straight either. Wonderfully captured Amanda =)
I can see why you love that place so much. It really is beautiful and I love how it draws your eye in. Wonderful shot, Amanda! And so cool you have a contact there from photo club.
I think it is so attractive because of that wiggle down there in the road! When you can't see the house, a long drive makes you want to go down and see it! Enjoying the music at the moment!
Very nice. Like the leading road. It gives the feel that everything moves at a slower pace here.
About your dense lion shot, I would never let other people get in the way of getting the shot I want. Who cares what they think? They'll forget about you within 2 minutes of driving past you
@eyesmile Gene, I love that you loved this photo, too. Thanks so much for your sweet words and the fav, lady. You are sweet!
@abhijit I went out and took it. I took all of my kids and it went fine. No honks or obnoxious hooting. Thanks, man. The shot turned out ok, not the best, but I may use it eventually when I get around to editing it. It would have been much better at a different time of day so that the lighting would have been amazing. It's tough for a mom of 3 to get out when the lighting is best. I do what I can.
@bardejov You are kind to say that! Thanks, friend. Hope that I am improving steadily. Though I still wish I wouldn't go through highs and lows with my photography...is it too much to want to ALWAYS be good;-)!
@skpinny Me, too. I love love this driveway (though it would stink on a snowy day!!! Thanks, lady!
Thanks all so much for you sweet comments. I am sitting in a chair at the end of this driveway now as I reply to you (being a stalker and all;-). Yeah, though, I really love the place. Happy Monday:)!
I want to live down the end of that lane:)
