I'm in my 6th year of the project. I am a full time mama of 3, wife to my best friend and resident in southern Ohio, USA. I am a storyteller, a drama queen, a photographer, a lover of shadows, reflections and light, a runner, a follower of Christ, a goof ball, and a friend. I like dressing up (making up for not doing that as a kid) and I love doing selfies when the mood strikes (which hasn't been often lately)!

365 has opened my eyes to the little things and everyday beauty. It's helping my kids see and appreciate this, too, for which I am grateful! My 9 year old (when she was much littler) would often point to things and says, "What a pretty scene, mama!" and my 10 year old daughter got a camera for her birthday years ago and wants to post to 365, too. Not ready for that yet!!

I am a lady with little gear and the gear I have is pretty basic. I shoot with a starter DSLR that I got a
few years ago, a Nikon D3000. I have the two kit lenses thus far, a 15-55 and a 55-200 zoom lens. And I just saved and got myself a 35mm lens. I edit using free software, mainly online Picmonkey and Gimp. One day, I hope to become fancier (I've recently been annoyed with the shortcomings of my camera) and have more lenses and software, but I've got to figure out how to make some money with my photos (sell online, stock, maybe try my hand at portraiture). That is a big goal of mine for this year.

I still have much to learn, but I am really loving this process of becoming a better photographer. I welcome any feedback you have for me!

My photography goals for past years were to master the selfie, master light and learn my camera better. I'm getting there...still much to learn with the ins and outs of camera...another focus for this year. I'd love to be able to shoot in M if I wanted to. This year, I've decided that I want to be able to rock the portrait, and really do need to know the settings better, understand how it all works. Now that the kids are all in school, perhaps I can have more time to play around and learn. Still have only scratched the surface and have much to learn. I also hope to acquire some new gear to help me such as a reflector...and maybe eventually some studio lighting. Ha...and a new portrait/macro lens. I don't need much:).
