Ok, this was probably one of the coolest things that I have seen at the zoo ever (besides the cheetah running top speed). These polar bears were playing in their water and wrestling like dogs do. So often the animals lay around lethargically. This was a wonderfully refreshing change.
This shot is SOOC and I am pretty pleased with the action caught and water spray. See large for it's full glory;-).

@adamj Oh darn, maybe not...Fun spoiler. I expected that the faves would pour in with this one. Maybe I shouldn't have posted it during my hours of insomnia when everyone else was asleep.
@darsphotos Me, too. I did get good photos with my camera last year, but they were much improved this year. I have a decent zoom lens and it made a difference. Thank you!
@amandal You can sure tell the difference with your new camera. I zoom in and get good photos but not like this. One day maybe I will get a DSLR or a camera that really takes sharp distant photos.
Cool shot! But these guys are very scary critters. If you move to the south pole to shoot them, get a really good zoooooom lens first. LOL Don't want to get too close to these killing machines.
Soooooo great! They are so fun to watch! I was at a place called wildlife safari in winston oregon. It's like a drive through zoo where most of the animals roam pretty free.
