Inspired by the recent collages I've seen advertising people's countries, states, places where they live, I decided to do one for my area. It is pretty gorgeous here afterall.
When we moved here a little over a year ago, we got tons of people here askinging us why on earth we came to Ohio?! We had moved here after growing up in Florida and living for 7 years in California (both very touristy and well known places). Ohio is not really known as a place to visit. But I tell you what, it sure is a nice place to live. The seasons are gorgeous, the woods are fun to explore and it's just plain pretty (still enjoying being in a new place to photograph). We love the down to earth people here, too.
So glad you shared this. It really does represent where you live in a very beautiful presentation! Love each and every photo! 365 has helped many of rediscover our own environment as well as appreciate (and sometimes lust after) the environments of other parts of the world. These photos would encourage me to visit Ohio...and maybe on one of our RV trips we will!!!! Just lovely Amanda.
Beautiful place and wonderful pictures and collage. It does definitely makes you want to visit. It is a wonderful idea to do and it allows other people to discover places we would not ordinarily look at. Would have loved to take part in his hallenge but busy preparing for trip and no time to go walking around town this week. Maybe will still do later in the year! You live in a beautiful place. Thanks for sharing!
Wonderful collage, Amanda, and love the mix of seasons and urban vs. nature. It's fun watching others find out all about what the 'middle of the country' has to offer! :)
@amandal I think I'll do this tonight. Indiana IS sexy! Too bad I don't have any NW Indiana shots to add to the collage. NW Indiana is like a different world
@jsw0109 I did the contest wrong though (I hadn't read the rules). It's 9 photos just so you know. Can't wait to see your sexy IN!!:) Show me the barns!
It's fun doibg a collage of where you live. I did one of my UKhome last year so maybe it's time to do one whilst living here in France. One of the nicest things about 365 is getting aquainted with other folks lives and home towns.
Really beautiful collage. I've never been to Ohio, but from the pictures you've shared, it looks lovely. I like how you've got multiple seasons in this.
@amandal You are so very welcome and hugs back. It is in the 80's this week and loving it though the sky looks like LA, smoke blew in from Oregon and looks terrible even in Daly City where my Mom lives. She can see it all the way to the coast. Wish I could come and visit.
Wow, what an incredible collage, so many gorgeous shots. . You make me want to jump on a plane right now. So happy to hear you are loving your new home.
Thank you all for your great comments on this collage! It was fun to figure out which photos to use and put it together. And it helped solidify to me why I love my home. Come on and visit anytime and I will host a meet up here!
@adamj Thank you, kind sir. I had to redo as I didn't read the contest "rules" first. It required 9 photos. Whoops. I did another with a few more photos and called it "Putting the 'Oh' in Ohio. Who would have thought that OH could be so pretty, huh?
@adamj I wasn't super excited to move here, besides the family being here and Michael getting a job, but it surprised me being as great as it is. I'd say we are happier than we were in California (and we loved it there!!). It was a bit of a coolness demotion, though, but I am over that.
@amandal That's very well said. I like that.."coolness demotion" Yeah, we can get hung up on that useless stuff. There are so many terrific cities that don't receive all the fanfare. That's probably part of the reason they are such nice places.
@carolmw Thanks so much for your kind words and fav, Carol!!
@deeganp Thanks so much, sweet Pea!! Love that you like this!
@hopelessromantic Really appreciate that, Peter. What a beautiful world we live in, huh? I love that we can share it with each other through photos.
@eyesmile Hope you make it here, Gena. Let me know if you are coming and we can meet up!!!:)
Faved :)
@kittikat Thanks so much on the faves for my collages, sweet Kitti. Come on over and visit anytime:)!

@jodimuli I know! I need to research where to send it and demand pay. That would be cool somehow, though! Thanks, man!
@adamj True words.
Yep, as others have said, it looks like a poster for the tourism board of Ohio.
I've lived all my life in the 'burbs of L.A. and scenes like these make me long for something a bit more rural.
