Hay, That's How I Roll by alophoto

Hay, That's How I Roll

This is a barn that we pass on the way to church each week. I stalked it yesterday and went by twice for a few photos. The first time was midday and the second was just missing the golden hour. Bummed to miss the best light, but this'll do. When I was here for this shot a giant field insect climbed onto me as I was crouching in the tall grasses. I felt something, looked saw it all huge and sinister on me and was able to brush it off without a peep of a squeal. I'm getting tougher.

@psychographer I so should have...I wasn't thinking of photos then, though, just getting beast off of me:). And it kinda flew off me and away. My big lens and I kinda stink at bug photography unless it is pretty large. I guess that this would have fit the bill. Thanks, Lisa!

@cazann HA. I did, too. Thanks, Caz!!!

This is lovely! I love your low POV. I feel like I'm in the grass peeking at the barn.
September 5th, 2013
Great shot! Love the composition with foreground and background interest, and the PoV. You'll know you're there on the bug front when you stop to get its pic before brushing it away! :)

I love that you all mentioned and appreciated the title of this one. Sometimes I hope that my witty words and titles will help make up for any of my photographic shortcomings. It's always a treat when my funny gets noticed or gotten. Really appreciate you all!

@jsw0109 Last night my mom tells me that she's been noticing this each morning in the early morning light and the bales are all lit up and beautiful. Now there are less bales, too. The field used to be full of them apparently. Shoot, wish she had told me about this sooner.
September 6th, 2013
@grannysue I love to make people smile. Thank you, Linda!!:)
September 6th, 2013
@amandal I just discovered 2 fields of sunflowers... one is past its prime :( but the other is just starting to bloom, so I'm going to have to past it every day until I can get a great shot of it.
