I wanted to do a different take on the fairy tale for the 5+2 Fairy Tale Challenge this week. Plus my tutu costume is still slightly stretched out from a couple weeks ago.
Some of my favorite books for the kids are the after stories of the fairy tales...one is called The Frog Prince Continued. There is another one about the three little pigs and told from the wolf's perspective. They are FUNNY!
So here is my take on little red a few years down the road after her story. Granny was eaten and she has become cynical and depressed. I considered doing Little 'Red Light' Riding Hood, but thought better of it.:)
A funny back story from last night...I was working on my sign, sniffing the permanent markers, trying to have neat handwriting. I asked Michael a few times if it looked ok and what I should add to it. He was pretty disinterested. Later I was still dissatisfied and decided to rough it up and bend it a bit to make the pristine cardboard look more weathered. After I did that, he said "Oh, that got you one more fave right there." in a deadpan voice. We cracked up!!
Oh Amanda, you are so funny. I love how your mind works. I would never in a million years have thought of something like this. I reckon your basket would be full if you sat on the high street like this! Well done. And btw - brilliant screwed up cardboard :-)

@rvwalker No Ross, I went far from home so he wouldn't see me this time. The lawn guy was out mowing here, but I don't think he noticed me slumping around in my hoodie looking miserable. Thanks so much for the laugh and fav! This quirky is working for me:)!
@anazad511 Oh he's a lucky man...but yes, puts up with a lot, too. 365 makes us (or maybe just me) nuts! He does it now, too, but hasn't allowed himself to go crazy. This family can handle only one crazy. Thanks so much for the fav, lady!!:)

@amandal - Monkeys don't know what they want half the time.... you look so tiny in this shot, just like little Red Riding Hood. (and what did she ever ride? I can't recall a mention of a pony?)
@bobfoto Sounds like a book! I like to tell myself things sometimes. Important things. When I am not getting many comments I tell myself "Nice photo...fav;-)!" Funny.

@amandal You did a fabulous job. I love your photos and your creativity and watching you grow as a photographer and artist with a very huge imagination. You need to write more than one book. But start on one. My journey as a photographer. At least leave a wonderful legacy.

@amandal Cleveland (Olmsted Falls to be precise). Interestingly, I am a consultant and travel out of town weekly for my job which currently is in Atlanta. So, Mon-Thu in Atlanta, Fri-Sun in Cleveland. Your follow-up shoot: The red light version...haha...LOVE it! No doubt that creativity is where I will really need growth so I'm looking forward to that. I'm much more of a logical thinker than a creative... :/
@rellimdj We had the opportunity to move to Solon. My hubby had an offer there a year and a half or so ago, but we opted for Cincy instead (my whole family is here as a bonus). Atlanta is an amazing city. Can't wait to see more of it and Cleveland through your lens.
