This was taken on Hope's 2nd birthday over the summer. I take family portraits of each of my family members...even the dog. Poor pup...it took me 2 months to post it.
I can't believe how few days there are left to the official end of summer. The air is getting cooler. I'm sending the kids to school in pants most days now. And the leaves are slowly starting to change and even fall. Apples are in season and we are enjoying our favorite Honey Crisp ones.
I took Hope and Clara for a run this morning (pushing Clara in the jogging stroller). Hope kept up better today. Maybe she is getting less lazy from our little runs.
I got a call about a job today. The phone interview went well, I just wasn't available for all of the shifts she needed covered. At least I got a call back finally!!
What a lovely beast! We have a black dog too, a Great Dane named Josie. We also have a rat terrier named Minnie. Big dog, little dog. :-)
You've got lots goin on, be well and take care...:-)
Lovely looking pup, Amanda. Autumn's definitely here in the UK as well - cool and lots of rain now :-( Better weather predicted for the weekend though...
I love those eyes!! Lol at your comments and the subtle difference in words between the UK and USA. Pants are something we wear under our trousers!! I'll let you do the maths :)
@seanoneill Fun stuff. I agree! Sometimes I am chatting on here with friends overseas and find it amazing that we are even speaking the same language. It can be confusing at times even within the English language.
Thank you all for your wonderful comments about Hope. I've been reading them to her and she's been blushing and smiling all day. Also, thanks for the well wishes with the job search. As of tonight, it was officially put on hold. We need to concentrate on the move and getting ready for that now. One less thing to worry about...
What a great shot, Amanda. It is super windy and cool today, rain tomorrow and cool on Sunday. Fall is here and loving it. Wanted to head to the beach tomorrow in SF but not happening again. Our timing is totally off and will try again in a few weeks. I got to get my walk in the sand, bare footed along the edge of the water and sounds of the ocean for this year. A FAV for this photo.
@darsphotos Hugs...thanks so much for the fav. Sometime check out Rodeo Beach in Sausalito area. It was one of our favorites there. Enjoy your start of fall!
@amandal Thank you, Amanda. Will try to check out Sausalito one day, maybe this year. Loving the start of Fall and the rainy day yesterday and the cooler weather. Hope all is well there. Hugs!
@bobfoto Actually I was being snippy with you here. I shouldn't have, though. I was being a mean girl. Sorry. To be honest, I don't like the creepy impersonal notifications from 5+2. I like getting feedback and comments, don't get me wrong, but theirs are creepy and robotic. I'm not banning that group, not unfollowing (though I do support you), but I am not as excited about participating, especially not this week. My astronaut shot would have fit this theme.
@amandal - the 5+2 is a big project within, so it rarely comments but only on photos that produced a lot of comments in the background. Their commentary is purely recognition. If it were to provide feedback and even criticism, then it would become too large a beast.
You've got lots goin on, be well and take care...:-)
Lovely shot of the pup!

Thanks so much, guys, for your sweet comments about my Hope pup. She's a super sweet loving girl. So grateful that we adopted her.
I had several comments back to you that may have not gotten to you do to the lamo way it works with txt right next to your name. Oh well.
@rennes Thanks so much, Lisa.
