A Year in the Life of One Tree Hill Warhol Style by alophoto

A Year in the Life of One Tree Hill Warhol Style

You all blew me away last weekend with your response to my one tree hill project. I was so disappointed with the trees lack of spectacular change, that I almost didn't do anything with the photos except embarrassingly send them on to my friend in shame. But after playing and putting them together in a collage, the result wasn't half bad and I posted it. But man, the support I got. Thank you so much.

One of my old roommates suggested I could try to make it an Andy Warhol style collage. She's the one that I used to laugh with until we cried. I love doing that!! Anyhoo, I thought that was a good idea and played some more today. I chose colors that I thought fit each season. And doggonit...now my fall tree has some color. So much so that it appears to be on fire. No tree was harmed in any way or burned down in this process.

Thanks again for the love, guys. You all are the best!

And here is the original more tree colored looking collage that I first posted should looking at this wild version make you sick;-): http://365project.org/amandal/365-year-2/2013-11-09
I think this is wonderful!!! Love that you got all four seasons of the tree.

That's a funny app, warhol! I haven't found a use for it yet but this looks the best with the tree!

Awesome. Doubly awesome. Fav. Still amazed by this whole idea. Amanda....photographer, adventurer, sometimes red hooded stranger....all around trailblazer. :)

@losthorizon Aw, you are so funny. I really got into 365 this year. It's been a blast for me. I so appreciate you, my friend! Wish we were local friends and our families could hang out, we could have big 365 meet ups and such.

Love the Warhol style images, but looking back at your original collages, I love the one where you have written the four seasons on each image. Lovely work Amanda!

November 15th, 2013
@ozziehoffy Me. too. I'll bet all of them with a white tree on different colored backgrounds would look pretty cool! Thanks, lady!

This is absolutely fabulous as a graphic! I dearly miss having a friend to guffaw with. That is a precious friend to have.

@riverlandphotos I feel like it has been years for me. My hubby and I do crack each other up sometimes, but never to the point of screaming like I did with Susan. I love the laughing til you cry thing. Thanks!!

This looks like an expensive piece of silkscreen art. It would make an eye-catching 16 x 20 print.
November 15th, 2013
I love this! All the color choices are perfect for their respective season. I could see this hanging on a wall - the original, too! Loved it as well.
November 15th, 2013
Great idea to turn it into pop art! Love the colours.

November 15th, 2013
Nice idea. Like your Warholistic processing ;)
November 15th, 2013
Wonderful idea -- it really takes advantage of processing capability to create an entirely new image. Looks great.
November 15th, 2013
Cool idea.
November 15th, 2013
I particularly like the top left - looks cool!
November 15th, 2013
Like a painting.
November 15th, 2013
I would love to have this on my wall …. Warhol or not.
November 15th, 2013
Great concept and execution Amanda. Very cool not having to wait a calendar year :)
November 15th, 2013
@bobfoto My funky disco version of the collage...it actually reminds me of that guys shirt that I liked in one of your photos. Maybe the top right image.
November 15th, 2013
@amandal - I think I know the shirt you mean... the guy at the markets.
November 15th, 2013
@bobfoto I should make a shirt with this! Yes, that one.
November 15th, 2013
@amandal - you should get this printed on a shirt!
November 15th, 2013
@snaphappi Thanks so much for that, Maggie. I think that I will print this up for some fun wall art!!

@adamj Thanks so much, my friend!!
November 16th, 2013

@soboy5 Thanks so much for the fav, Danny!! I appreciate that, my friend!

@mariyakey Aw, thanks so much for your kind words and fav, lady!!

@eyesmile Gena, he liked it a bunch and especially liked my tales of how I captured the images. He's a writer and storyteller and actually helped me with my writing years ago. So glad to do this for my friend and I had no idea how well it would be received on here. Thanks, friend!

@bobfoto You know, I'd be more apt to print this for the wall. It would be a pretty fun and colorful piece. Thanks.

@wind_of_the_sothern_sea @anazad511 @michaelelliott @wenbow @ernmar @happysnap @darylo @taffy @stimuloog @aleksandra @roseolivia @cathieg @mrslaloggie @twr @northy @kwind @pflaume @rvwalker @espyetta @swguevin @bristolrose @mzzhope @edie @tonydebont @gailmmeek @rachelwithey @cazann @sugarmuser @jamibann @susale @seanoneill @maggiemae @cheribug

I really love your comments, my friends. Thanks for your words. And yes, I think that this one needs to be printed up for some fun wall art for the new place. Maybe both of them. Thanks again!
November 17th, 2013
@amandal - the four individual shots for a wall piece indeed, but the top right for the tee.
November 17th, 2013
@bobfoto Good idear. I should have tried them all in varying background colors but with a white tree. That might have been less nutso.
November 17th, 2013
@amandal - or a black tree?
November 17th, 2013
@bobfoto You are so weird lately. Stop. Or I will bury you alive in a box underground. Black would work.
November 17th, 2013
@amandal - I've seen a few too many boxes underground of late...
November 17th, 2013
@bobfoto Ok, I see. You are just acting rather cold to me. Not so fun. Sup?
November 17th, 2013
Love the original, but the Warhol treatment is fun too -- so many possibilities...
November 18th, 2013
@wendyhgill I love that. I may play some more and make the trees either white or black with the different colored backgrounds, but I think I want a fun colorful version and the original printed and up in the house someday. I still yearn to get one that has a very dynamically changing tree for each seasons. I'm on the lookout!
November 18th, 2013
cool edit
November 19th, 2013
Oh, this is just way too fun! Great choices of colors, too!
November 21st, 2013
@colie @jyokota Thanks, girls!!
November 21st, 2013
Great processing, excellent colors as well.
November 24th, 2013
