I actually have a few more shots from the art museum to share. I originally thought I had one or two good ones from the day, but after sitting on them for a few days and editing more, I have probably a handful or more. Not too shabby for a fun outing.
I loved this creepy looking figure in the background here. I kept shooting and hoping for a sinister pose. A shadow lurking in the dark hall and sneaking up on Venus.
Happy Weekend, my friends. Thanks for all of your support and kindness this week!
Now I love this. The contrasts between light and dark and clear and soft almost abstract focus is utterly brilliant. I think this should hang in a gallery because it is one of my favourite ever shots from your project. Huge fav.
.....and the statue in full light covering her naughty bits is as if she did it when you got your camera out. That is genius in a photo. I'd hang it on a wall, until I can take a shot like it myself!!
@seanoneill Love love when you say that, Sean. I truly appreciate your comments and the great description. I'll send you the image, if you'd like (til you get yours of course). I really liked this one, too, but it didn't receive the same love as my previous two museum shots. That was a very great day for me photowise. I must get out more! Again, really appreciate your fab comments. And let me know if I should send you the image.
@amandal Please do, I would love it. I noticed it did not receive the accolades of your other museum photos, but to me it is way way beyond the others. Beauty as they say...
@seanoneill I think that I had two stellar shots in a row and perhaps it was like enough already? I did not get much and then actually uploaded a sillier image later in the day. So maybe I had something to do with it, too? Who knows. I'll send it now.
@amandal Thank you. Way past my bedtime, and a long day at hospital tomorrow, which is the cause of the inability to sleep!! Yes, it is often the case that a great shot after another great shot can often cause Fav fatigue. You know, back last year if someone said Fav and forgot to press the button I would ask them to go back and hit the buton harder. I never do that now, and am rather embarassed that I used to. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the accolade, but to be told it's a fav is enough, the subsequent pressing of the button is of far less importance to me. :-)
@kali66 Man, I had the best time there. I'm home full time and it's been an awful and long winter and I haven't gotten out much. It was sooo awesome to be out and getting some street shots. I so love that, but again, home with kids and all...Thanks!
Thanks so much for your fun comments. Stalking shadows is always fun. Happy weekend!!!
