I was Mooned by a Fly

My oh my, I just minding my own business photographing the pretty dogwood blooms when a fly came up and mooned me. Waved it's hairy heiny right in my photo. Darn fly:).

Thanks so much for your wonderful comments on my recent photos. Your support and kindness are really blowing me away and quite humbling.

Happy Mother's Day to all you mamas out there. Guess what I got?! A new lens. The 15-55mm kit lens. I only had a 55-200. I may trade them both in for a bigger range lens (a one lens fits all). Or trade the new one in for a 35 or 50. Or keep it. How cool to have another lens, though. Feeling loved!
Beautiful

Pretty sure that's a twerk. Nice shot :)

@snackmaster Stop twerking, damn fly. Funny. We have a stop sign by me that someone wrote twerking on. I featured it last month I think.
May 11th, 2014
Can't beat a bit of twerking :)
May 11th, 2014
@snackmaster I considered doing a selfie by the sign, but too crowded an intersection...I had to draw the craziness line.

May 11th, 2014
How can you make something SO perfectly in focus?! Fav and envy!
May 11th, 2014
@alicenellis I sharpen a lot. It helps. Try that in editing. My camera is just not that good on it's own. Thank you, lady!!
May 11th, 2014
lol - you made my evening! I won't be able to think of a fly's behind in any other way again. Beautifully sharp image though and I love the soft background.

May 12th, 2014
Just beautiful and congratulations on the new lens.
May 12th, 2014
@soboy5 Do I want that kit lens, though? Or should I try to get a 35, 50 or trade them all in for an all in one 15-300? What do you think? Do you use the 35 or 50 more?
May 12th, 2014
Such amazing detail. Great capture.
May 12th, 2014
amazing dof, kiddo. and the details are so clear and crisp. i love it. just wait for christmas for you all in one. i have 18-200 for both of my cameras, tamron, but shooting portraits, indoors, i find them to be problematic when focusing. maybe it's different when it is a good brand lens, but i thought tamron is a decent brand.
May 12th, 2014
@summerfield I think for the best portraits I probably want a nifty fifty or 35.
May 12th, 2014
The nifty 50 stays on my camera most of the time, but now I take it off for the Lensbaby or my 100mm for bugs! Enjoy the lens - always love researching new buys.
May 12th, 2014
Well spotted and a fab photo. Congrats on your new toy, but I don't have the faintest idea......LOL! ......what you're talking about. I'm not a techy person. I guess I should be :-)

@kass Yeah, people seem to love that 50. I tried a 35, but not a 50 yet. The 35 was amazing. Thanks!
