Can't stop myself with fall shots. I had a couple that I'd been holding onto since last week.
These acorns, I gathered while walking the dog in our neighborhood. They reminded me of a magnet that an old roommate gave me in college. It was an acorn with this memorable phrase:
Remember the mighty oak was once a nut like you.
Almost 20 years later, I am still a nut and the magnet still hangs on my fridge.
@amandal Sorry about that. So clogged up, sneezing, runny nose, hoarse voice and sleepy too. Our Fall is falling. Tree leaves are curling up and dropping off like crazy around here. Hey, they had to cancel outdoor sports yesterday in Roseville, Rocklin, etc due to the smoke from the fire. Wow. The air looks clear here today and the quality has improved here but Placerville and Grass Valley had to close schools due to the smoke. 89,000 acres and winds picking up though will be blowing towards Tahoe again.

@darsphotos Wow, that is crazy how wide spread it is. glad that you can see some fall, but hope the smoke and bad air issues end soon! Thank you and feel better. Ugh, that smoke!

When we were little we used to put acorns in our snow balls, along with green pine cones for that extra punch!! LOL Awesome capture and a big Fav from a like, nut!
