I was testing out my camera while it was foggy lensed and snapped this shot of the Flow Rider line (the fake surfing pool on our cruise ship). I rather liked the candid capture of the waiters.
Mike was in line for nearly an hour and this was more than half way in. I particularly like the woman dripping a sweaty drink. It was hot out.
We all wait. What is worth waiting for (a fake surfing ride)? What are we waiting for? What are you waiting for now?
Me, I'm waiting to not be exhausted everyday. I think it's slowly improving. This back to reality has been killing me.
We don't have to wait on the weekend much longer. Have a good one!
Nicely captured candid and I love the narrative (you're a natural born blogger!) It's very thought provoking. We spend so much time waiting, we forget to live in the moment - and then the moment is gone. i think I'll try to be mindful of that this weekend....
some waiting is good - it teaches patience - and then there is the waiting that is just a waste of time - guess it is different for everyone :)
Mike might have been contemplating life while he waited - or cursing in his mind ha ha
OMG - I thought for a moment the girl in sunglasses was my daughter! However, as she has not been on a cruise ship recently, to my knowledge, I guess it's not! Lovely foggy capture!
Nice candid....Mike looks a little bored with the waiting. Everyone else looks like they are waiting to be "noticed"...hahahahah~ Perfect! It IS hard to get back to reality...we just got home from our RV trip and are exhausted. How do you get tired from sitting for 5 or 6 hours???
This shot does a really nice job of capturing how it feels to wait in the heat. The droplet on the water glass and the people in various positions of rest on the rail make it. Mike looks bored. ;) Your narrative is great. I am further along the road of life than you are, so I have less time to wait for things, unless they are really worth it.
