Seekers of the Sun

I look up and see grey skies,
Dark clouds

And then I see
The seekers of the sun
Look at me.

A shading of brown
On petals gold
Each, a soft brush stroke;

Crimson caresses in sunlight.
At the core, a universe undone;

Beauty Grace imbued
In the sunflower.
And I join it in its gaze,
Seeking the light.
