After work I decided to take a walk around Brick Lane snapping some of the street art and graffiti. This huge piece of a Bangladeshi mother and child is just off Brick Lane... it really is quite impressive.
The area, for those that aren't familiar with Spitalfields, is a mix of your typical graffiti and pieces like this, plus curry houses, trendy shops, dossers, druggies, the young and the hip... You get the idea...
The one with women walking past is cool...in your other collection, I prefer that one but of course this one shows more detail....some wicked artwork too round brick lane, as well run down by the looks of it.
You know, I prefered that pic as well, really couldn't decide which one to upload... Should have stuck with my original choice... so I've changed and added the full size version.. I do think the woman adds some 'life' to the shot
haha glad I saw both but must I admit I thought I was losing my mind! I too like the this one better, gives you a sense of the size of the artwork which makes it IMHO all the more moving and impressive.
Oh Andy, this is such a lovely photo, and such amazing perspective! You know I always enjoy the pictures you take, your views around London, and the stories you share about you Mom, your girl friend and your wonderful cooking! Today's picture makes me think of the months that lie ahead for me when I'll get to hold my own wee grandchild one day...such an exciting time! I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your Shutterfly site, too, and will go back for more later. I'm so sorry I wasn't here sooner, but I wanted the time to appreciate each offering and thank everyone; I just couldn't do it all in a day! This out-pouring has been stunningly overwhelming to me...I have no idea what I did that deserved to be recognized more than everyone else here. It's all about the beauty of this circle of friends, and I love being a part of it. I hope you read my note on my photo today *heart* and in the thread...I what to share a huge thank you with everyone and don't know how else to say I was very very touched. *thank you again* for your thoughtfulness and keep bringing us those wonderful photos!
♥ What a walk down memory lane, Andy! I can't tell you how moving it is to come back and see what I wrote that April day...and that you put two and two together! Wow! Did you happen to see my Heather's picture of their baby, my second grandson? I've really been blessed. Thanks for remembering...
