Breaking News tonight - flicked on TV to watch Gordon Brown driving to Buckingham Palace to tender his resignation as Prime Minister...
So after 5 days of Gordon refusing to step down despite losing the election, it seems the Tories and Liberal's have thrashed out a power sharing deal... Cameron to be PM, Clegg, Deputy PM... Cameron to see Queen tonight to accept Premiership..
Looks like electoral reforms are on the way... out with 'first past the post', in with 'proportional representation'... Think thats a good thing...
As for my day, saw a consultant in Barts about my knee, he reckons cartlidge damage, but am booked in for a MRI scan... Was extremely disappointed to be told "oh well, these things happen in middle age..."!!!!!
Stopped for a coffee after and grabbed a few snaps of St Paul's Cathedral, left DSLR at home so these are with my P&S - more conventional views here http://andycphotos.shutterfly.com/173#173
Wow, Andy, I'm mostly taken with your new profile picture (today)...well it's the first I'm seeing it! You look 15 years younger! It took me a moment...didn't know whom I'd added to my "home" page! Very nice picture! (I'll go now and see your beautiful photo and enjoy reading what you wrote...a little short of time, but I do check in as much as time allows!)
Fab photograph! Its a great angle and nice to see it without the clutter of people and traffic.
And yes, quite a day huh? All change in the UK.. hopefully.
Sorry about your knee... and even more about the middle age comment. I had that the other day at 37 - its soul-destroying, lol. Hope you dont have to wait too long for the scan. Best of luck!
ha ha... Louise.. you're far too nice and so, so kind... I'm 41 in a couple of weeks!!! Most of 'me' doesn't feel it... although the knee feels about 80, so average that out and I guess it's middle age... :-)
Sometimes it doesn't matter what camera one uses, it's seeing the image and capturing it. Great shot and symmetry. Hope the knee won't stop you jumping up and down on Saturday!! (If you have reason to, that is! hhehhe)
