So the day finally arrived and it's off to Wembley for the FA Cup Final between Pompey and Chelsea.. We were of course, massive underdogs; we finished bottom of the league and were relegated, Chelsea on the other hand, are the champions and banged in over 100 goals this season.
Picture taken as the teams came out, flags waving, ticker tape coming down, fireworks going off and the band playing... These are the days why you love football...
As for the game, well, to say it was a one sided first half would be an under-statement!!! Chelsea hit the woodwork FIVE times but somehow, we went in 0-0. Our big moment came 10 minutes into the second half when we won a penalty only to completely screw up our big chance with an absolutely woeful effort.
And as is typical, Chelsea went down the other end and within a couple of minutes, grabbed the only goal of the game!!
So there you have it.. Defeated but not disappointed. We played as well as we could, the atmosphere was great, and the game was entertaining. I'm now home, knackered, and slightly hoarse and looking forward to a minimum 10 hours sleep tonight...

Love all the flags. You can see the energy. Reminds me a lot like the picture I have on here when I went to the game in Germany with Frankfurt against Munich. Frankfurt being the major underdog, won!!

Andy Tough one to take thought that it was a good game, and from the 1st half hitting the bar post kalu missing a sitter i thought it was going to be one of those days, it was all down to pen miss. Great shot, i went to mates to watch the game cycled through town pompy in Leicester Sq were in good voice!!

Must admit, even though Chelsea dominated, the longer the game went on and the more chances they missed, I did begin to wonder... Name on the Cup and all that... but that all evaporated once we missed the pen... hey ho... :-)
