Today was a lovely sunny, but very cold day. After work I caught the DLR to Tower Gateway and walked along the Thames to the Millenium Bridge and St Paul's Cathedral.
It was difficult to get any decent shots as there was far to many people on the bridge, but in the end I managed to get a couple of shots without the masses.
I used Lightroom for the last time as my month's free trial ended today. I was hoping to end up with something like this, so am fairly happy with the result. Would like to re-visit late at night when no one is about as the bridge and catherdral make for a great long exposure photo.
It was the comprehensive spending review today, so we sat in the staff room watching as the Government made £80+billion worth of cuts and 500,000 job cuts in the public sector!!!.... Hmmm... tough times ahead...
That's a lovely picture, Andy, and you did a marvelous job of working around the "crowds" of people as I see none here! You do such a nice job of showing us around town...one day I hope to see it for myself when I'm not just passing through! I'm running late to say my thanks for the note of congratulations, but really appreciated hearing from you last week when the baby was born. Less time on 365 these days, but I suspect you know where you can find me!
This is my absolute favorite place in London. IT's such a wonderful part of time. I love the sense of motion across the bridge and all teh people who walk in their speedy-london-walk across the bridge each day.
