It's been ages since I took one of these shots, so whilst driving home tonight I stopped off at a bridge overlooking the A13. Not many people driving in to London tonight!!
Once again, my tripod consisted of the nearest flat surface. Although this time I actually had thing with me... Was in the boot but had slipped my mind.
I took quite a few shots, ranging from 8 to 30 seconds whilst also changing the apeture from f8 to f25 or so.. All came out fairly good so was a difficult choice to pick one snap for today.
Silly me I hadn't read the beginning and all I could think when you said you had your tripod in the trunk was "how the hell would he set it up in a moving car"!! DOH. Am loving the street light stars
Excellent shot and thanks for letting us in on the tips to make the magic happen - I'm off to find the nearest bridge this evening - to take some photos!
