Flower Market

From the hip No.2

Up early and off to Columbia Road flower market for a wander about... We didn't stay too long but just long enough for Sangeeta to browse the stalls and me to try some candid 'from the hip' shots with my DSLR and some more shots with the hipstamatic app on the iphone (am becoming addicted to the flippin iphone!!)

Back home in time to watch the League Cup Final - I couldn't care less who won but my girlfriend's son is a Gooner and he was gutted they lost... Being a Pompey fan, I've become use to losing so I tried the old "It''s just a game..." routine but it didn't work... haha

I'm not the biggest fan of cricket, like the Ashes and the limited overs stuff, but England drew a great game with India in the World Cup today - So neither me or Sangeeta have bragging rights!!!

@jennlouise thanks Jennie - sometimes too much colour distracts, and I think street photography works especially well in B&W

Fun capture. I like hip shots when kicking around markets etc. You have to go with the percentages. Some work, some don't.

I need to do street photography more @andycoleborn but yes I like this don't get me wrong. ;-)
As soon as I get my camera out on the street, people start to stare and become 'aware' of my camera. LOL I struggle with Candids. ;-/

@jennlouise I agree, as soon as I drag out the DSLR, people stare - am ok with the ipone as its discreet and makes it much easier for a sneeky shot :-)
