We had an office briefing this afternoon with colleagues coming from various offices for a lunch then presentation by the Chief Executive..
I had to take some pics of guys receiving staff rewards or long service gongs... But also scoffed far too much pizza and cake...
Remembering this weeks' challenge, I asked one colleague if she minded posing... From memory, I tried to recreate the front page from National Geographic with the Afgan girl shot by Steve McCurry, but checking his shot now, failed.!
As I was still in the office, I could mess about a little in photoshop and hide a photo-copier..
She's got amazing eyes! I love the purple colour too in the pic.
Getting remotely close to McCurry is difficult, however this is a really nice attempt.
the black works well, but perhaps I would of cropped it a little as it seems a little un used as such. I'm guessing this is where the photocopier was, still great image never the less. Just my tuppence worth :)
Great shot Andy. I like the dark and light and the purple against her skin is wonderful! Had to look twice becasue I thought it said...mcflurry! ooops!
It's a good one Andy .. ( thanks for the date check , too many scotch whiskeys yesterday (; , trouble is you can't edit on your iPhone so it's stuck till tomorrow , wonder if anyone else spots the error .. Lol )
thanks guys for all your great comments.. @azza_l I have this thing about pics being 8x5.. dunno why but seem to prefer them at this ration.. did think about darkening the other side but got bored haha
