We certainly did..!!! I knew from a few weeks ago that I had been allocated some tickets, but until today, I wasn't exactly sure what we'd see..
Can't believe how jammy I am.. Got six tickets in total, three for the men's football quarter-finals which would have been good enough.. But the icing on the cake is three tickets for an evening's athletics where we'll see:
- Men's 200m Final and medal ceremony
- Men's 800m Final and medal ceremony
- Men's Triple Jump Final and medal ceremony
- Woman's Javelin Final
- Men's Decathlon Javelin and 1500m (Final two events)
- Woman's 800m semi-finals
- Woman's 4x100m relay round 1
- Men's 110m medal ceremony
- Woman's 200m medal ceremony
- Woman's Long Jump medal ceremony
And only £50 per ticket!!!
Can't tell you how pleased I am... Heard all these horror stories of people bidding for £1000s and not getting any...
@rich57 cheers mate... apparently there's loads of footie tickets still available - including loads of games at Coventry's ground... might be worth logging onto the 2012 site and registering..

Did check for you and there's Canoe Sprint, including finals, with "good availability" on 8 & 9 Aug at Eton Dorney.. £35 per ticket.. 4 finals on both days...
@azza_l how it worked was you indicated what events you wanted to see - I selected about 10 events with 3 tickets each, total would have been £750... Then it was a matter of waiting to see what/if I got any... Some people bid for many £1000s and got nothing... Doesn't add up does it...!
Wow, well done! I'm impressed. I didn't manage to get any of the tickets for football matches I applied for on behalf of the kids' football club, or the judo or basketball tickets we applied for either! boo hoo. I love this photo by the way!
congrats...that is excellent you will have the best time. my hubby and i won a trip to the barcelona olympics....and while there i won the raffle to get to see the dream team USA BB team play...my husband was in hog heaven. anyhow....congrats to you...and i can't wait to see your photos..hope we are both still doing this then

Woot, you are so lucky!! On my bucket list to get to some Olympic some day. The winter one's were close by 2 years ago, but my husband having just lost a job it all seemed like too much.
@andycoleborn - we got tickets for one session! (round 1 random athletics heats graveyard slot on a Wednesday morning but hey - thought we'd end up with zilch!)

Wonderful. We went through the Football World Cup last year and it was wonderful. So what if it was busy and our lives were upside down? It was just fun!
