Lillies

Sangeeta had her cousin brother visit on Thursday, he brought some flowers and today, I thought I'd take some shots using the full zoom on my 200mm lens...

Cousin brother is an intersting term.. confused me at first as I'd say your "cousin brother" surely is your cousin... Soon got to realise in Asian culture, there are more specific names for various families members that identify them much clearer than in Western culture..

Whereas we'd say my bother, sister or cousin, it could me any brother, sister or cousin, she'd say have a word which would identify eldest brother, older brother, younger brother and so on.. So cousin brother refers to a male cousin...

Guessing there's a term which specifies whether it's cousin on Mum's side or Dad's side but I haven't learnt that yet....
whats a cousin brother lol i dont have one of those

ah right then I have 4 cousin brothers all on my dad's side -maybe they are cousin brother's father?? LOL - maybe our language is too generic at times but other languages are maybe too much the other way!! Great shot - cool focus

Good thing you are not marrying into an African culture because they use fewer words than we do to describe relationships. So a variety of closely related older ladies can all be called "Mother" ... Makes the Mother-in-law relations complicated. Good that the cousin brother brings such photogenic flowers.

@eleanor haha... similar in Asian culture - older non relative men and woman are uncle or auntie, similar aged no-relatives are brother / sister...
@Cherrill soooo true :-)
