Chrysanthemum and Towers by andycoleborn

Chrysanthemum and Towers

Day 1, Year 3 and it all starts again... And as is usually the way, I'm back at the Wharf for a shot... Funny enough, I also took my first shot of year 2 at the Wharf but that was a hell of a better shot than this...

Just a shot of some flowers and the towers.. plus bonus plane coming into land at the City Airport a few miles away..

It's our annual Black History bring-a-dish-to-work day tomorrow, with eveyone expected to bring in something with a West Indian or African flavour... so I've been busy cooking a prawn and potato curry this evening..

Used two scotch bonnet's but thinking it could of done with three... Although I'm probably a bit more use to food on the spicier side than many of my colleagues...

Expecting to be a professional glutton tomorrow..!!
Have a nice day and don't eat too much Andy. Have a nice new year of 365 also!

Great color of the sky here. Good reason to go to work a pot-luck (is that an American term?).

cheers guys
@shantwin thanks shannon... pot-luck just means lucky here, what does it mean on your side of the pond?

A pot luck is a bring your dish to the party party. In other words a bring-a-dish-to-work day, or you could bring-a-dish-to-my-house party. Pot luck just seems easier.

@shantwin yeah, guessed that's what it was.. probably the origin of the phrase was that here too but now we use it whenever we mean something turned out well by pure chance...
