For a wedding present, Sangeeta bought me a 2 hour model / lighting workshop which I attended on Saturday...
Thanks honey... :-) Was fun and wished it lasted a little longer lol.... With about 10 other people it really only meant you had time for perhaps 20 pics with the models each...
I had planned on meeting up with Aaron after in Central London but had to cancel (sorry geeza) as time was rushing by and I also had to travel back from Shepherds Bush (where the course was) in West London all the way to East London, jump in the car and head down to Hampshire that afternoon...
In case you're wondering, the set up was white floor, wall, side walls and two 5'x3' white boxes either side of me...
very professional results...I like the lighting and her pose. So your woman bought you a chance to photograph a beautiful woman? You gotta' a good woman there!
nice work mate. From the look of the shadows from her nose and the colour of the background, looks like the softbox to your right was slightly higher powered than the one to the left. Nice work getting your missus to buy you a studio day :)
For me the more important thing is that you've pulled the model far enough away from the background to avoid some shadows... looks to be maybe 8 foot or so in front of the background?
You could also join the camera club in london and do this on a regular basis
@toast cheers fella, yeah, was a nice pressie... You're spot on about 8 ft or so from the back wall, but thinking about it, she was slightly off centre and closer to the box on my right - maybe about a foot or so...
Excellent shot, the all white background is amazing.
