Hurrah..!!! after what seems an absolute age, I managed to talk Sangeeta into going down to Brick Lane on a weekend..
I did have to agree to going to see the street art stuff on show at Whitechapel Gallery tho (which wasn't that much of a struggle).... The book in Sangeeta's right hand is "Roof Tops of London" and cost her £9.99.... Now I'm sure I could publish something similar but would anyone buy "That Brick Lane Look" for a tenner???
Gallery was quite good and after, we headed over to Spitalfields Market where Sangeeta went shopping and I went off photographing.. Perfect Sunday in other words...
Later on in the day we went to the local park where Sangeeta's son flew his radio controlled plane that he'd taped a p&s camera too... bloody cold but a great sunset and it worked out well and he recorded some pretty cool stuff...
thanks guys... @johnnyfrs not a bad area to wander about at weekends is it, lots to see and plenty of places to eat too.. @charli321 haha... seems you're the only one tho :-)... Yeah felt same way about the meet up I went to last year as I'd never done anything like meet strangers I'd 'met' online before but all turned out well and now meetup with a few fairly regular...
Enjoyed the meet though a little scary to start with! Sure we'll do more once the weather is warmer, frozen shutter fingers all round!
