India Gate by andycoleborn

India Gate

After a two long flights, with just a 30 minute stopover in Qatar, we reached Delhi to be met by Sangeeta's brother and an hour or so's drive to his home on the opposite side of the city...

Fortunatey traffic was quite light (if you're use to London, Delhi wasn't that bad at all) and we reached his home for a days of rest before some old school friends of Sangeeta (who now live in Delhi) came over in the evening...

Took this shot of the India Gate from the car - its based, as you can guess, on the Arc de Triomphe and commemorates the 90,000 Indians who died fighting in WWI.

Finally... finally... up to date with all my holiday snaps... Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to view, comment and fav over the last few weeks :-)

Perfect look of this Delhi Road and monument! Took advantage of a break in the traffic?
