Still in the Olympic spirit, I headed over to the Excel Centre after work to have a nose around...
It's not part of the Olympic Park and whilst it was busy with fans and plenty of purple clad volunteers, it didn't have the same feeling as Stratford.
The dome is another Olympic venue - known as the North Greenwich Arena for the games and is where gymnastics and the basketball finals will be taking place.
Top day medal wise for us Brits, quite a few golds with some silvers and bronzes thrown in for good measure..
i don't expect it was intentional, but this image feels a bit eerie... that sky, the bw, those spiky things coming out of the dome! it's really quite cool!
