With no car and Sangeeta huddled over her laptop all day sorting out stuff for the charity she runs, I jumped on the train and headed down to Brick Lane for a few hours of wandering about taking pics.
I got the a little late in the day and being a bit gray and overcast, the light wasn't great. But I did manage a couple of reasonable shots... Including this one of a street charactor who I watched for a while rummaging through the waste looking for bits he could sell on for a few quid...
Notice some shorts pegged to the fence that he's missed tho.!
@maggiemae No, he didn't make it, it's waste from the market and he's looking through it before the bin men turn up in the early evening to clear everything away..
word on the street is theres over 4 million homeless in the uK now, but the Tories have balanced the book by changing the definition of homeless to someone who sleeps in a public place (i.e. not on private land/derelict houses/hidden from view) between 2am and 6am. They reckon there's just over 1m I think. 4 million - if that's anywhere near right then we should march all the politicians out in the street with the bankers and shoot them all, surely?
