Wanted to do some last minute Christmas shopping so headed down to Brick Lane and Old Spitalfeilds market... Seemed the rain and crappy weather had kept most people away as I've never seen the area looking so quiet on a weekend..
So quiet in fact, my camera hardly made it out of my bag... Still, it did allow me to get the last few things I wanted to buy...
Just a great candid story shot. the Muslim lady and the umbrella are captured beautifully. I am sure the lady herself would be pleased. Shame about the graffiti that adds nothing.
I have read about the Old Spitalfields market, but have never been there. Is this one place I should visit if I travel to London?
@frankhymus Cheers Frank - If you are ever in London, come East on a Sunday and spend the day at Old Spitalfields vintage market and also take in Columbia Road flower market, plus the street markets in Brick Lane and Petticoat Lane.. all withn a 20 min walk of each other and a very enjoyable way to spend a day...
