Really like this on all sorts of levels. That song has a big place in my heart....Shoreditch is where my maternal family come from having a business in the Kingsland Road and having various ceremonies in St Leonards church. That corner in the distance will soon be swamped by modern glass and literally over shadowed. As you know this is not my usual type of fav but for so many reasons it is this time! @Cherrill Hi Cherrill... glad to have brought back some old memories :)... I wonder if the church you mentioned is the large old one just to the left of wherre I was standing... If it is, it's no longer achurch but a place that sells reclaimed items from castles/mansions and the like (the sort of place that sells £20,000 300-year old fireplaces the size of your average living room :)
St Leonards church is a large white church with a spire....I'm sure/I hope its still a church! Going to be humming that song all over again now! with visions of Ian Curtis!!
