I've passed this tiny chapel twice a day for the last 13 years. I've always meant to stop and photograph it but, of course, never have... until the incentive of 365! Many times I've noticed a certain time of year when the setting sun shines directly through the far set of windows and out of the windows on this side. Even though the sunset as a whole was dying by the time I drove past tonight, this glorious light effect was still showing itself.
I've done a bit of post processing with general lightening, cropping and getting rid of an ugly rubble bag in the foreground (see- very much still learning...) but the late sun shining through the windows is exactly as it was in camera.
Divine, utterly Devine. A wonderful photo-op grasped with both hands. A nice job of tidying up too from your description. Our churches are built on an East/West alignment in order to catch the morning sun through the altar window, but this doesn't seem to hold true of chapels then? Whatever, they got this one just right.
