A sign of the times when everything comes in tins. I remember only fresh fruit and veg at harvest festival in the 'olden days' I suppose tinned foods are easier to distribute.
@onewing That's exactly iy, Babs. We donate our harvest collection to a couple of local charities that support low income families and the homeless but distribution is slow and we are asked only to provide dated tins, packets etc. Not quite representative of the bounty of the fields as I too remember but I suppose it all had to be grown somewhere!
