This is my last bird photo from my trip to the west. I've got lots of wildflower and animal photos from the trip to share. The guide of a bird walk I went on took us to see this nest. Would have never found it on my own. Very small and hidden in some trees.
Oh my goodness ... I have to ask..was this in Rocky Mountain National Park? It looks so much like a nest I photographed there last month, but the hummingbird wasn't sitting http://365project.org/aecasey/365/2016-07-04
My guide was Jarod from Yellow Wood Guiding. That nest was in a beautifully gentle, quiet copse of aspens. Lucky you!!!!
Oh...checked your "date taken" and I was there a week later and I think it was Jared's first visit to the site in awhile when he took us. Beautiful little nest and bird.
@aecasey I went on a tour through Rocky Mountain Conservancy. Might have been the same leader. Was he an older, retired guy? It looks like the same nest. Believe it was near Beaver Meadows.
