Turtlehead by annepann

Turtlehead

The common name for the wildflower Chelone glabra is Turtlehead, because the flowers resemble the heads of turtles. Two petals fuse together to form the tube flowers. It grows in wet areas. Found these today at Indiana Dunes State Park.
