Just bought a super small Canon Powershot SX720 with 40X optical zoom for my upcoming trip to the UK. Decided I just didn't want to carry my heavier camera. This new camera is so small it is hard to keep still while shooting. But results are decent for the weight. I believe I was beyond 40X for this shot.
Wow - beautiful - looks like the new camera will do well for your trip - can just slip it in your pocket - love that about those Powershots - have had several. Wonderful colors.
