I know that I've been complaining about our long, cold, snowy winter so I was happy to be able to photograph a flower coming up out of the earth. What is remarkable is that there is still snow on the ground.
Nice shot. Spring is a beautiful time of the year. Luckily our winters aren't too cold so we don't notice the difference too much. It is autumn bere now in Australia. Still pretty warm and humid though. The only thing I still can't get used to after living in Australia for 25 years is Easter in Autumn! Christmas in Summer I accepted straight away, but Easter eggs in the shops in March when it is autumn catches me every time.
lol--Easter eggs in Autumn, how interesting! Is the song, "White Christmas," a popular Christmas song in Australia? There are a few Christmas songs that paint images of snowy white Christmases and I've always wondered about the popularity of these songs in warmer climates. The United States has different regions; I live in the northeast and we have four very distinct seasons. In southeast U.S, the state of Florida for example, it's very tropical. Our northern Midwest has long, cold, snowy winters. And California, though I've never had the pleasure of visiting there, is on the west coast and I hear it has perfect weather all year long.
