Nice colours. If you want it to go narrower set your focus on centre spot and a bit of zoom. that will make the centre in focus and the rest more blurred.
@onewing Thank you, Babs. I was practicing tonight using your suggestion as a guide. I focused in on a specific spot with the zoom; the background is beautifully blurred. The focal point, in this case a leaf, is not quite as sharp as I would have liked but even so, I was quite pleased with the results. I will continue to play with this. Also, I was trying different manual settings so I have to study exactly what I did! If you look at my photo entry for May 16th, Pachysandra Leaf, you will see the photo that I'm talking about.
