My husband is my most cooperative and patient subject! Practicing with low key again but I'm not quite sure if this one qualifies as low key because there aren't deep shadows. Many thanks to Babs @onewing for her suggestions about saving in Photoshop.
@wendyfrost Thank you, Wendy! I'm so happy that you noticed John's expression. I've always enjoyed candid shots and I like to wonder what the person was thinking about when the photo was taken. In this photo John was probably wishing that I would stop following him around and snapping his picture. ha ha
@amandal Thank you, Amanda! I was wondering about that (the low-key thing) I guess that low-key is more with heavy shadows. I really like that technique. I'll have to do some research. I'm learning so much here; up until recently I thought that people were misspelling bouquet (bokeh)! ha ha
Lovely portrait, I think there is too much light for low key though. You need to put your husband in a darker place (maybe not a cupboard though). I am sure there are plenty of tutorials on youtube which will help you with low key shots.
@onewing Thank you, Babs. Yes, I will tell my husband that I need to put him in a dark place. He will understand; he knows me well! Yes, the tutorial is a great idea. Thank you for the suggestion.
