Victoria came to help again today, but only until lunchtime as my husband had his second Addenbrookes Hospital appointment this week. We knew it would be a long one as it was Clinic 14, little did we know how long! His appointment was 1430 hours and although photographs were taken of his eyes during the afternoon, he did not see the consultant until 2040 hours. Someone had ‘gone sick’ and Dr Meyer was also looking at a teenager who had been to various hospitals including Moorfield’s Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital, but because they could not find the problem, they had sent him, as a last hope, to Dr Meyer. They had been there since 0930 hours and were resigned to stays as long as necessary, hoping for a diagnosis. Dr Meyer is brilliant and Bill was his last patient, especially as his problems are always complicated and especially since his notes were elsewhere in the hospital; presumably still in the clinic he attended on Monday.

I took various photographs in the garden before we went out, but decided that my very belated supper, a gluten-free wrap and a latte just about summed up the day; this was taken at 2202 hours, before we left the hospital for home.
