I walked into the village this morning to collect our prescriptions and to purchase the Christmas table presents. When I passed the Fire Station on my way to the village I took a picture of our new fire engine, which was at that time, parked in its garage; on the way back someone had kindly parked it on their forecourt so I was able to get a much better picture of it.
Nineteen years ago today it rained heavily and I got very wet visiting my daughter and new grandson; obviously he is nineteen today. Tomorrow we will visit for pizza and cake. We normally go out for a meal, but he is going out with his friends this evening and a big meal will not be appropriate tomorrow. (Will he have a hangover?) Instead, we are having pizza and cake at his home, to celebrate both our birthdays. Today, although it is mild, it is not raining, but it is still dull without sunshine.
